There are several differences between joining a franchise and starting out on your own, or even compared to taking a new salaried job with an employer. The biggest one, though, is that this is a partnership. There’s no buyer-seller relationship here, and certainly no boss-employee relationship.
Instead, it’s a two-way street. You invest in the franchise and get a great deal in return – an established brand that agents already trust, national contracts that bring in ready-made work, proven systems, training, and route planning that takes the guesswork out of your week – but the franchise invests in you just as much.
In a partnership like this, your success is their success, so it’s firmly in the franchise’s interest to help you succeed by every means it can. That means far more than handing you a manual and a branded decal for the side of your van. It means supporting you every single day to grow your business.
Countrywide Signs is a brand that genuinely invests in its people, constantly refining its model, listening to feedback, and giving franchisees the tools to build a stable, profitable business they can be proud of.
Which is exactly why this latest news matters to you.
A new role, created with franchisees in mind
Countrywide Signs has appointed Ian Morris as its new Head of Operations. It’s a significant addition to the team, and one made with you very much in mind, because Ian’s role is built around two things that matter enormously to any franchisee: growing the business, and being properly supported while you do it.
Part business developer, part right-hand man
Ian will be wearing two hats. As a Business Development Manager, his focus is on helping you grow – spotting the opportunities in your territory, sharpening the way you approach local agents, and making sure you’re getting the most out of the national relationships the network has built. As a Support Manager, he’s there for the everyday side of things too, the questions and the practical hurdles that come up as you build a business, with someone experienced on hand to help you work through them.
In other words, he’s there both to help you look ahead and to back you up day to day. Not many franchises give you one person dedicated to both.
Not only that, but Ian was a Countrywide Signs franchisee himself for 12 years, so there’s nothing he doesn’t know about the day-to-day of running a territory, and of growing a strong business.
Strengthening the partnership even further
Ian’s appointment is another sign that the Countrywide Signs franchise isn’t standing still when it comes to supporting its franchisees. As the network grows, the aim is to give franchisees more practical help, not simply more people in Head Office.
That’s what a franchise partnership should be about: giving you the opportunity to build your own business, while knowing there’s an experienced team behind you who genuinely wants you to succeed.
